I'm Dr. K. Rahkel, an epidemiologist and public health expert who turns the conversations nobody had with us into clear, judgment-free education for women, girls, and the people who support them.

“Because I do research for those that look like me, disproportionality stops here.”
Dr. K. Rahkel

Too many women learn about their own reproductive and sexual health in pieces: a rushed appointment, a rumor from a friend, a search at 2 a.m. My work closes that gap.
As an epidemiologist, I study how health patterns move through communities and why some groups are left out of the conversation. As an educator, I translate that evidence into language people actually use, so they can make informed decisions, ask better questions, and advocate for themselves in the exam room and beyond.
“Education is the highest form of advocacy.”

Real cycles vary. For adults, anywhere from 21 to 35 days is typical, and cycles are often less regular in the first few years after a first period. Very painful, very heavy, or suddenly irregular periods are worth bringing to a clinician.
No name needed. Selected questions are answered in the newsletter and on Dr. K's live sessions.
This is education, not medical advice. For anything urgent, contact a health care provider or emergency services.
